Ruby Jean Hudspeth: Twenty-One Years in the Making

Hi, Everyone!

Today’s blog post is simple, short, sweet, and to the point:

I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to my sista from anotha mista, Ruby Jean Hudspeth. I would also like to officially welcome her to Club 20!

That’s right, y’all—Ruby Jean is officially twenty years old today!

In celebration of Ruby’s greatest milestone, I would like to dedicate her personal theme song: “More Than A Woman” by Aaliyah.

Auntie Cherri, You're Still A Star!

Hi, Everybody!

I think it’s safe to say that I have quoted my Auntie Cherri on plenty of occasions… well, today ain’t gonna be any different, especially considering that today is Auntie Cherri’s 47th Birthday.

Charismatic, Hilarious, Eloquent, Ravishing, Rambunctious, Intelligent.

These are but five of the many attributes that my Auntie Cherri!

I think I’ve said all that there is to say about my Auntie Cherri… well, there is one thing that I probably didn’t mention: Celebrating a birthday along with Auntie Cherri are the following celebrities:

·         Mark William Calaway (known throughout the wrestling world as The Undertaker)
·         Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory… Bazinga!)
·         Harry Houdini (legendary magician)
·         Peyton Manning (NFL football player)
·         Jack Swagger (current WWE superstar)
·         Barry Horowitz (preliminary wrestler who won his first WWE match in 1995 after years of so many losses)
·         Louie Anderson (comedian and one-time host of Family Feud)
·         Catherine Joy Perry (known in the WWE as Lana, the Ravishing Russian)
·         Joseph Barbera (known for cartoons such as Tom & Jerry, The Jetsons, and The Flintstones)

And y’all already know that my Auntie Cherri is a celebrity in her own right—I’ve talked about it so much that I feel like it just happened yesterday, but I’m gonna let y’all check out that blog post right here. In any event, the very picture that you see before you—it was taken right after Auntie Cherri made her television debut on The Dennis Hughes Show. I could only imagine what Auntie Cherri was going through when she found out that she was gonna be the very first guest on a debuting talk show. And my goodness—I wonder what she was thinking when she saw herself on television for the first time. I know she sent me a couple of text messages to my email account, all of which I responded to. I think I mentioned that I watched it live on my laptop, and I liked to have gushed when she gave me a shout-out on national television!

Well, I reckon I had better close up today’s blog post, but I would just like to say one more thing:

Happy Birthday, Auntie Cherri! Love ya lots!

Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha

And The Fourth Module Begins!

Hi, Everybody! Long time, no holla!

I want to apologize for not updating my blog over the past couple of weeks, but a sista had to get ready for her finals, and before I knew it, the fourth and final module of the 2014-15 school year was right around the corner. Now, check this out, y’all: Even though this final module is up and running, the campus is officially closed due to the snow. That’s right, y’all—Winter Wonderland has befallen upon Bearcat Country, and to be perfectly honest, I couldn’t be any happier. Yes, indeedy—I am absolutely lovin’ this! I’ve never really seen it snow like this, but my wish has finally come true. I asked Ruby to take some pictures of me posing all around the campus in my winter clothes. She granted my request, but of course, she had to tease me a little; she said that I am “such a tourist.”

Well, let’s just be real here: I don’t get to see snow like this in L.A., unless I go up to Big Bear, so naturally I’m gonna marvel over something as simple as snow. And speaking of L.A., when I talked to my Auntie Cherri the other day, she told me that summer had come early. She was also quick to mention that Punxsutawney Phil ain’t said nothin’ about Southern Cali having six more weeks of winter… hahahaha!

Well, y’all, this is it—today is March 5, 2015, and I’ve got about a good month or so before my school year is officially in the record books. I may have mentioned this in a previous blog post, but in this module, I’m taking three classes (Methods of Middle School Instruction, Integrative Teaching Seminar, and Educational Technology), and after that, I’ll practically be done with classes that pertain to my degree. I think I also mentioned that I have another class to take that pertains to my degree, but that’s for summer school. Other than that, I just have my internship with my former kindergarten teacher Mrs. Martin, and I’m as good as gold!

Oh, yeah—this little Vipress has all her ducks and geese in a row!

Well, that’s gonna just about do it for today. Before I close today’s blog post, though, I want to give y’all a heads-up: I may not be posting as much, only because I’m gonna be in study mode with the aforementioned three classes for perhaps the remaining module. If I find time (and y’all already know that I’m gonna do so), I’ll update my blog, but other than that, y’all may not hear too much from me. So, enjoy me while y’all can.

Until next time, y’all take care and be good.

Smooches,
Natasha
