Hi, Everyone!
Seeing as how yesterday was President’s Day, I decided to give y’all a rest from my escapades. Nevertheless, I trust that you all had a great weekend.
Well, just in case you didn’t get the news from my February 15 blog post, my secret admirer is the Neo One himself, Theo Campbell! I’m sitting here reflecting on the events of this past weekend, and I gotta say: I honestly had no idea that Theo was my mystery man. Now, I’m quite certain that the signs were all there, and even I admitted that I knew he kinda had a crush on me, but this puts everything into perspective. This goes back to that old saying about hindsight being 20/20!
And I just thought about something else—the clues were in the very first letter that Theo had written me. I tell y’all, it’s amazing how things come back full circle. If y’all remember my blog post from October 22, 2013, wherein Theo had used a verse from the song “Lovely” by Case… and I also thought about how Ruby never uttered a word to me; she didn’t even give me a hint of a hint. I gotta give Ruby credit for sticking to her guns, although she did tell me this past Saturday that I would “really be some kinda surprised” upon the revelation.
And Ruby wasn’t just whistlin’ “Dixie,” either!
So, now that the revelation has come to pass, where do Theo and I go from here? Is the thrill gone? Do I allow myself to be pursued by Theo? Will Theo and I go out on a couple of dates, or will everything just be as it was before the revelation? Hell, will Theo and I still remain friends? Come on, now, y’all—even I know that moments can get a bit tense and awkward after the line has been crossed. And then again, I don’t really have anything to worry about; after all, I’m still on my own personal mission to graduate from Rust, and I still have dreams and aspirations on being the best damn kindergarten teacher in the world. I’m not saying that I don’t have any room for romance—I’m just saying that right now, I’ve got goals that I need to accomplish.
We’ll just have to see how this plays out—in the meantime, y’all continue to pray for a sista.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
