Hi, Everyone!
Before I jump into today’s blog post, I would like to give you all an update on the tornados that have taken place: Yes, Bearcat Country was somewhat affected, but we are fine nevertheless. To tell y’all the truth, I’m a little excited—after all, this was my very first tornado, such as it was… hahaha! We have had severe thunderstorms over the past couple days, but again we are all doing well. I immediately called Mom and Dad after it was safe to return to our dorm rooms last night, and they were relieved to know that I’m still standing. Now, the weather reports suggests that we are not in the clear as of yet; they say that this is only the calm before the storm. Well, I have faith that we’re gonna make it. Just continue to keep us lifted up in prayer.
My first tornado notwithstanding, I am excited for tomorrow, because Summer School 2014 officially kicks off! Check this out, y’all: I’m taking two classes this summer, and fortunately, both of these classes are in the morning, which gives me the rest of the afternoon to chill out and relax. Additionally, I’m very excited about this one particular class on account of it’s caught my interest since my freshman year, and I finally get to take it! The class is called Creative Expressions for Teachers, and judging by my innovative methods in my previous classes, I should be able to zoom past this class… okay, I admit that I’m sounding like a show-off. I know that this class won’t be a walk in the park, but I am confident that my creativity will take me very far, all the way to an A-plus!
My other class is called Developmental Approach to Reading & Literacy, and from what I’ve read in my catalog, this class sounds like it will be a touch challenging yet fun. As my elementary school teachers told me once upon a time, reading is fun-damental. I’ve got a feeling that my creativity is gonna shine through this class as well.
Well, I reckon I better get going and prepare my mind, body, and soul for tomorrow. I promise I’ll do y’all proud, but I still request that you keep me lifted up in prayer.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
