As I promised from this morning, here is the second of my Double Feature blog!
Well, this is it—my last day in my hometown of Los Angeles, California. I only have a few hours left before I board the plane to Memphis and my Auntie Gladys takes me to Bearcat Country.
Is it me, or did these two weeks just zoom by? I’ve had so much fun with my family that I’m really gonna hate to leave it all over again. Heck, I just looked over my makeshift itinerary, and it appears that there’s all but one thing completed. The one thing that I wanted to do was to make a home movie featuring Mom & Dad, Gramma Jewel, my aunts and uncles, all my cousins, and my honorary new sister Rebecca, but it looks like that’s gonna have to wait until the summertime. Oh, well—I guess that’ll give me something to look forward to within the next four months…
Good Lord—another four months!
Good Lord—another four months!
Nevertheless, I am still excited about returning back to Rust, especially when I know that Ruby Jean and Neo Theo are waiting for me. I can hide from the truth all I want, but the fact of the matter is that I really did miss Ruby and Theo. What can I say—they are a part of my family now.
Now for the special update: I just got back from my date with Ray. That’s right, y’all—we did in fact go to the Griffith Park Observatory earlier this afternoon. It was so clear and beautiful, and we took a couple of pictures together, one of which had the Hollywood sign in the background. In one of the pictures, Ray wrapped his arms around me, and I reached back and touched his cheek. And then all of a sudden, I acted rather impulsively—I kissed him on the lips. The amazing thing is that I enjoyed it just as much as he did! I really don’t know what came over me because I’ve never acted like this before, but it just felt so right!
I just can’t lie to myself anymore—my heart is beating badly for Ray!
Well, y’all, I’m just about packed and ready to head back to Bearcat Country. I’m kinda heartbroken, but at least I’m not as devastated as I was four months ago.
By the way: I’m gonna be some kinda busy tomorrow, what with registering for classes and all, so I’ll just have to post a blog on Friday.
Thank you, Los Angeles—it sho’ was fun, and it’ll be even funner come the summertime!
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
