Okay, so I just talked to Richard and told him that my schedule was free for this Saturday. You all should’ve seen his face; he tried to appear all calm, but his body language told on him. His eyes lit up and he inhaled real sharp, then he says in a Barry White tone: “That’s whassup.”
I must admit that I’m very excited; after all, this is my very first date since my prom. And speaking of which, I wonder if Ray got my letter yet. I mailed it off on Monday, so he should’ve gotten it by now… but I can’t worry about Ray; after all, he’s back in Cali and I’m here in the Magnolia State —the Bible Belt, if you will.
I still have one more hurdle to cross before my date this weekend—I’m talking about my essay that’s due on Friday. I’ve finished it up just this afternoon and I even had my roommate Ruby edit and proofread it for me. I just need to tighten up a couple of loose ends, which thankfully are all in one paragraph. In case you’ve forgotten, my essay is about my great grandmother, Lynn Agnes Coleman.
Well, that’s all the news I have for today. If you don’t hear from me on tomorrow or Saturday, then I’ll definitely holla on Monday.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
