Deborah Cox said it best: “How did you get here? Nobody’s supposed to be here… my heart says ‘No, no—nobody’s supposed to be here,’ but you came along and changed my mind.”
That song used to play on the radio all the time in 1998; I was four years old when that song debuted. Here it is, fourteen years later, and that song is playing in my head, all because I think I am smitten.
I don’t know if I stressed this enough, but I am here at Rust College with the sole purpose to learn all I can so that I may obtain my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am not here to look for a boyfriend—at least, that is not my top priority. Okay, I admit that I am interested in Richard. It’s something about him that has really caused me to pay attention to him; heck, I actually would allow him to call me “Li’l Mama” once again… hey, a girl can change her mind if she wants to.
And then there’s Ray. Notwithstanding the fact that he’s back in L.A. , the bottom line is that he finally admitted his feelings for me—and that sure couldn’t have come at a worse time than now. For one thing, there’s about two thousand miles between us, and it would be silly for the both of us to wait on each other for four years; I think I made that point perfectly clear last week.
Oh, what is a gal to do?
Stay tuned for another episode called “My Life.”
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
