So, it is to my understanding that my Gramma Jewel is heading out this way sometime this week. I spoke with her briefly last night and let her know how much I’ve been studying for my finals. Without stammering or stuttering, Gramma Jewel said, “Tasha-Baby, you know you’re gonna pass, and I’m gonna be there personally to congratulate you when you do.”
Oh, goody-goody-goody—Gramma Jewel’s making her return to the Bible Belt!
I haven’t seen Gramma Jewel since forever… okay, so it’s only been two months, but yet and still, that’s like forever to me. I wonder if she’s changed at all—LOL! I’m only kidding. She’s still the same sweet Gramma Jewel that I’ve come to know and love.
Well, I’ll just say this: If she is in fact coming out here to see me, then Rust College should expect to see one excited bright-eyed Cali girl. I wonder if she’s gonna sing her rendition of the theme song to the old TV show “That Girl.”
Okay, I can sense that I’m getting a little distracted—it’s time to focus on what is most important right now: my final exams. I’ve gotten Composition down to darn near a science, and African Diaspora has really become interesting. I’m just a touch concerned about College Algebra. It’s time to call on my prayer warriors again, but until next time, say a prayer for your girl.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
