Hi, Everyone!
You all are looking at one busy Cali Rustite.
What do I mean by that? Well, my final exams are coming up in two weeks, and I want to make sure that I do a damn good job… that’s right—I said a damn good job! No, I haven’t started cussin’ just yet (hahahaha), but I just want you all to know how serious I am about my studies. As I may have stated in a previous blog entry: I refuse to waste my mom and dad’s money; I am here at Rust College to learn how to be the best that I can be at whatever I want to achieve—not just in teaching, but in anything and everything that I set my mind to doing.

So, here’s my schedule for my finals: My “Composition I” final and my “African Diaspora I” final are on October 16, while my College Algebra final is on October 17. I need some prayer warriors to keep me lifted up right now, because anything mathematical is not my forte. I’m barely getting by with a “B-” in that class; I just want to make sure that I raise it to at least a B+. Did you all notice that I didn’t mention anything about Composition or African Diaspora? Well, that’s because I’m doing exceptionally well in both classes. Despite this, I pray that I do not make the mistake of being too cocky. I remember my Sunday School teacher back home in L.A. talking about how pride cometh before our destruction. Well, like it is written in Psalm 131:1, “Lord, my heart is not haughty,” and I’m praying that I stay far away from haughtiness, especially right now.
Well, I’ve got one more paper to write in my Composition class, and as per my professor, this paper will be all about my Gramma Jewel. With that said, I’ll holla lata!
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
