So, here it is—Friday, October 12, 2012. Usually, that means “Friday Freestyle,” but I’ve been so enthralled with studying for my finals that I’m just gonna refer to today’s blog as “Random Thoughts & Opinions.”
I noticed that studying for my finals has taken my mind off of my homesickness… well, at least temporarily, anyway. Speaking of which, my aforementioned homesickness has somewhat subsided, though not completely. I still have a craving for a double king turkey burger with chili cheese fries from Fatburger, and I still want to check out the Santa Monica Pier. And to take a quote from Gramma Jewel: “Heaven help me,” but I miss Ray!

In other news, my Gramma Jewel will be on her way out here to visit Great Aunt Reesie, and of course to see how her “bright-eyed granddaughter” is holdin’ out at Rust College. In true grandmother form, she has advised me to maintain my focus on my finals and not get distracted by anything. Can you believe that Gramma Jewel referred to herself as a distraction? But anyway, she said that after the finals were over, she would come out to see me. Even though I need to focus on my finals, I am still excited over the fact that my Gramma Jewel is coming out this way to see me. I wonder if she’s gonna bring a strawberry seven-up cake with her… LOL!
I might have a special Saturday Edition blog tomorrow for y’all, but just in case I don’t, I’ll holla at y’all on Monday.
