Happy #78, Gramma Jewel!

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

Today is a very special day for a woman by the name of Mrs. Vivian Jewel Jones… that’s right, y’all—my Gramma Jewel is celebrating her 78^th Birthday today, and I am like, superexcited for her.

In celebration of my Gramma Jewel’s #78, I’ve decided to take today’s blog post and dedicate “Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)” to the woman affectionately known as the “Delta Jewel.” For those of you who don’t know, Digable Planets is one of my Gramma Jewel’s favorite rap groups; her favorite lyrics of the song is the part where Butterfly says: “The Puba of the Styles like miles and sh...” Gramma Jewel sings that part with so much life and energy… oh, and she also likes the part where Ladybug Mecca says:  “If it’s the sh... we’ll lift it off the plastic!”

What can I say—Gramma Jewel is just tight like dat!
