Good Monday Morning, Everybody!
I know that some of y’all are curious to know the results of my date with Ray this past Saturday. Well, let me tell you: Ray really knows how to surprise a girl—he treated me to an afternoon at Santa Monica Pier!
It’s funny how my summertime dreams have come true in the most eccentric circumstances. I had been saying that I wanted to go to Santa Monica Pier before I head back to Bearcat Country, and my wish was granted, thanks in part to my sweetie pie. All we did was walk around and hit up the shops at the Promenade, and then we got hungry, so he decides that he wants to dine at Hooters. I think it surprised him when I told him that I was all for it. I had to chuckle a bit when Ray tried his damnedest not to look at the waitresses, and y’all shoulda seen how he froze up when our waitress sat next to him. I assured Ray that I was (and still am) very comfortable with who I am, and I let him know that I did not have a problem with him “checkin’ out the chicks.” I will say this, though: I am very impressed that Ray thought enough of me to consider my feelings, so I gave him a reward that I know he would never forget—I asked two of the waitresses (one of which was ours) if they would take a picture with my sweetie pie, and they graciously obliged.
I don’t think I need to tell y’all that Ray was grinnin’ so hard that he made a Cheshire Cat look depressed (yes, I took that very quote from my mom)!

Afterwards, we walked around some more, and then we returned to the pier, where Ray felt the need to chase me around in the sand—actually, I challenged him to do so. I dared him to steal a kiss from me, and just as he tried to wrap his arm around me, I ducked and pretended to take off running. When he did catch me, I beat him to the punch… that is to say, the kiss. And then, from out of nowhere, like right in the middle of our kiss, Ray starts tickling me! I really had to break away and run for real, y’all… and I’ll be damned if he didn’t catch me, pick me up, and spin me around.
I tell y’all—I’m still not used to this feeling, but I’m lovin’ every minute of it!
Well, I had best close this blog up and get back to working on my home movie project. The plan is to complete the whole video before I return to Rust next month. It’s just about done, but it feels like it’s missing something. If it is, I’ve got until August 15 to figure it out. With that said, let me get back to working on this here home video, and I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
