Preparing for Sunday, Tho!

Happy Saturday Afternoon, Everyone!

Sorry that I’m just now getting to y’all, but I had a very busy morning. It all began when I woke up around six o’clock this morning, and that is not like me at all. I couldn’t get back to sleep at all, and then I realized the reason why: I’m like, overly excited about teaching the Cradle Roll class in Sunday School tomorrow!

I just lay in the bed, looking at the ceiling and grinning every thirty seconds or so. Heck, I even did a bit of a happy dance. Lemme tell y’all—I was so excited that I eventually got up out of bed and turned my desk lamp on. I figured that since I couldn’t go back to sleep, I would at least take advantage of the opportunity and work some more on the lesson that I’m gonna teach those little kiddies. I was very careful not to wake up my mom and dad, so I treated my books and papers as though they were crystal Ming vases. As I was looking over my lesson plan, I had another brilliant idea: I could record myself looking over my lesson plan. So, I carefully and quietly set my camcorder on my tripod, and got to recording.

And believe it or not, after I filmed my footage—not to mention looking over my lesson plan and brainstorming some extra ideas—I was able to go back to sleep.

I guess y’all can tell that I’m very excited about my teaching career… and I forgot to mention this in one of my recent blogs, but when I attended the retirement party of one Mr. Hal Arthur, I spoke to Principal Wilson and asked her if it would be possible for me to do an internship at Sapp Elementary. Now, check this out: I just knew she was gonna say yes—my faith was that strong. That scripture about “ask and ye shall receive” really rang true, because Principal Wilson said emphatically, “Yes, my dear—just get all the necessary paperwork, and keep reminding me every chance you get!”

Principal Wilson ain’t got to tell me twice!

As a matter of fact, as soon as I return to Rust next month, I’m gonna take care of my internship right then and there. I will not be caught slippin’ on this one—yes, I’m gonna use my Grampa Clark words of wisdom and use my full ass! Besides, the earlier I get this taken care of, the better.

Well, y’all—it’s time to close today’s blog and get ready for my date with my sweetie-pie… I can hear some of you already: “Damn, Natasha—ever since your return last month, you and Ray have been datin’ something serious!” Well, the last time I checked, when a guy and a girl like each other, they date. Now, unless I’m missin’ something, tell me so that Ray and I can fix it; otherwise I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow after church. Peace Out!

Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
