Hi, Y’all!
I’ve got a good reason as to why this blog is “late.” You see, I spent just about the whole day with Auntie Stephanie, Uncle Tony, and Cousin Candace—and we had so much fun today. It all began this morning, when Cousin Candace treated everybody to breakfast at Denny’s. Now, check this out: I ordered the Lumberjack Slam, and I must’ve been some kinda hungry, because I ate everything plus the last two bites from off Uncle Tony’s plate!
I tell y’all this much: It can’t be said that I wasted any food!
As we were enjoying our breakfast platters, Auntie Stephanie asked me if I was ready to return to Rust College next month. I don’t know if I mentioned this or not, but I go back to Bearcat Country on August 19; that gives me a little over a month to enjoy my summer vacation. Lord knows that I’ve tried not to think about my return to Holly Springs, Mississippi, but I can’t ignore that big purple elephant in the room. There’s no sense in fighting the inevitable—I’ll be heading back to Rust soon, but until then, I’m just gonna keep on enjoying this very memorable summer vacation.
Once again, it looks as though I’ve taken us all around the world in eighty days again, but basically, I said all of that to say: I am not really ready to return to Rust just yet. I know it’s mainly because of all the fun I’m having back in my home state, but it’s also because of the fact that Ray and I have more or less taken our relationship another level—and as you all can see, I spared y’all from my original quote… hahahaha)!
Now, check this out: Even though I kinda don’t want to go back to Rust, there is a huge part of me that cannot wait to return! I mean, outside of the obvious (earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education), I’ve made some real good friends in Ruby Red and Neo Theo, and I know that they’re expecting me to return and tell them all about my summer vacation. And y’all know me—I don’t wanna deprive my peeps of their favorite Vipress-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s! It’s like that ol’ skool song by the O’Jays: I gotsta give the people what they want. Well, if Ruby and Theo want Natasha Renee Stewart to come back to Rust, then by golly, Natasha Renee Stewart will be back at Rust next month.
Well, it’s time to close up this here blog, but I’m gonna have another one for y’all on tomorrow. Until then, though, y’all take care, and be breezy!
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
