Hi, Everyone!
Well, I’m back with another blog, y’all—and I can guarantee you that I’m gonna do like Bonnie Raitt and give ‘em something to talk about.
Excitement is most definitely in the air, and it’s not just because of the backlash from WrestleMania. In this case, I’m talking about the goings-on up here in Bearcat Country. For one thing, the Spring 2013 pledges of the various Greek organizations have long made their debut. I know I haven’t talked much about it since October, but I am still interested in the sorority life. I still haven’t made up my mind as to whether or not I’m going to actually pledge, though. Besides, I’m still having a tough time trying to decide which sorority will best suit me: Delta Sigma Theta, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sigma Gamma Ro, or the “lovey-dovey” ladies of Zeta Phi Beta.
Judging by what I’ve just written, it appears that I have already made my mind up.
Okay, I admit it—I truly believe in my heart that Zeta suits me. Incidentally, I have approached a couple of Zetas since this year’s neophytes made their debut. One of the Zetas informed me that if I was still interested, I should wait until next year.
The call of sorority life notwithstanding, there is still more excitement at Rust, in that the Class of 2013 are prepared to graduate in approximately three weeks. I’m very certain that it’s gonna be standing room only in the auditorium/gym, but I still want to see what commencement will be like. Yes, I have a vested interest in this year’s commencement; after all, I will be walking that aisle in three years, holding up my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, and who knows? I might even sing a verse of “Go The Distance” by Michael Bolton.
Okay, that’s taking it a bit too far… but hell, it could happen!
Anyway, that’s enough news for today. I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow—right now, I gotta call Gramma Jewel and see if she’s okay; as you know, she is a huge fan of The Rock. She thinks of herself as “The People’s Delta Jewel!” Hahaha!
Until tomorrow…
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
