First thing’s first: Happy 19th Birthday to my fellow Rustite and honorary big brother, the “Neo One” himself, Theodore James Campbell.
Happy Birthday, Neo Theo, and God Bless!
I tell you—a college student should be given a salary. Y’all think I’m lyin’, but lemme tell ya: It’s hard work maintaining grades and my social status (such as the latter may be)… hey, I’m just sayin’, tho!
So, as I promised yesterday, I know exactly what I’m gonna talk about in my persuasive speech on Friday. Check this out: I’m gonna persuade the audience to visit Los Angeles, if for just once in their lifetime. Let’s face it: Who better to talk about Cali than a native Cali girl, which I happen to be? Besides, all I’ve ever heard from my fellow classmates since my Rust debut in August is: “What’s it like to live in Cali?” Truth be told, y’all: There are several Rustites who have never visited Los Angeles, and a quarter of them are afraid to visit on account of what they see on television. Well, with all of the papers that I’ve written in my Grammar & Comp classes about Los Angeles, mark my words: I’m gonna persuade the hell out of my class!
By the way: Next week’s speech assignment is called “Make Your Own Commercial.” Now, this should be fun because, as much television as I watch (though lately I don’t watch it as much), I should come up with a good commercial. The only caveat is that the commercial has to be original.
And I think I have the “perfect” commercial… but just to be sure, I had better do some brainstorming. Fortunately for me, the commercial speech is due next Wednesday.
Okay, y’all—I gotta get going to my Grammar & Comp II class. I’ll holla tomorrow.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
