Well, today is Saturday, April 6, 2013, and it is a very special day for so many reasons. First of all, today would have been the 90th birthday of my church grandmother, Mrs. Harriette Fields. As you know, I wrote and dedicated a week’s worth of blogs to her. When I woke up this morning, Ruby said something about the yellow rose of Texas, and it got me thinking about Mother Fields, so I picked up her obituary and started reading it, and there is a mention of her love for the color yellow. I didn’t mention it before, but her favorite song was “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” by Aretha Franklin. Every fifth Sunday, she would sing that song… and she sho’ could sang (LOL)!
And I just thought about something: The last time she sang “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” was December 30, 2012—the very last time I saw her before I left for Rust.
In addition to recognizing a remarkable woman, I also must acknowledge that Theo and I are treating Ruby to a birthday movie. We’re all going into Memphis this afternoon to see G.I. Joe starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. For Theo’s sake, there had better be at least one cute girl in the movie. I say that because he may have to contend with hearing me and Ruby talking about how we would fight at WrestleMania just to see who would win The Rock’s heart. And speaking of the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, Ruby’s parents have invited us over to see WrestleMania XXIX. Will The Rock make history repeat itself, or will John Cena finally get his yearlong redemption and defeat the People’s Champ? We shall find out the answer to this and many other questions come time for WrestleMania.
Oh, and lest I forget: I would like to wish a very special Happy Birthday to my Gramma Jewel’s neighbor, Mrs. Edith Takashi. Be sure that Mr. Takashi and the twins take you someplace that you truly love.

I would love to write a live blog on tomorrow, given that it’s WrestleMania Weekend, but I’m gonna be too caught up in all the action. I do promise to give y’all the results of the Rock vs. Cena match on Monday, but until then, y’all have a good rest-of-the-weekend.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
