Hi, Everyone!

Y’all already know: Today is Friday, December 14, 2012, and I’m all set to make my return to the Golden State—my hometown, la ciudad de Los Angeles… the City of the Angels, if you will. I’ve been talking about this day for four months, and now it’s finally arrived. I’ve already decided that I’m gonna wear my favorite peach dress. I just got off the phone with my mom and dad; they are planning a little get-together at home, and the entire family will be there. I also will get the chance to meet Rebecca, and from what I understand, she’s just as excited to meet me. I also understand that she’s doing very well in obtaining her high school diploma, and she’s looking forward to attending college real soon. All I have to say to Miss Rebecca is that the sky is the limit, and I can’t wait to tell her that in person.

And of course, there’s that fella from high school who has been sweet on me—and yes, I’m kinda sweet on him as well. I hope he doesn’t mind that I put on some weight, but then again, I come from a long line of thick, curvaceous, ample-chested women, dating all the way back to my great-great-grandmother Bernice Brown. Yes, I’ve inherited the sexy gene from every woman in my family… hahaha! And then too, my putting on seven pounds shouldn’t matter to Ray because he has always liked me for me… and I can’t wait to find out what this surprise is that he has for me. Just the thought of it has me blushing again!

Well, y’all, I’ve got a plane to catch in about two hours, but first, I gotta holla at my girl Miss Ruby Jean Hudspeth; she’s about to head back to Olive Branch. The next time you hear from me, I’ll be home for Christmas—you can count on me!
