Home Sweet Home!

Be it ever so humble, there is still no place like home.

Hi, Everyone—and greetings from my hometown of Los Angeles, California!

Let me start off by saying one important thing: It sure feels good to be back, if only for a couple of weeks. I head back to Bearcat Country on January 3, but for now, I just want to enjoy this well-earned and much-deserved vacation.

By the way: I finally got to meet Gramma Jewel’s houseguest Rebecca. We talked for a good while, and she’s really cool peeps. I don’t know her testimony as well as I’d like to, but from my vantage point, she doesn’t look like what she’s been through.

This morning at breakfast, Dad told me that Mom suffered from a severe case of Empty Nest Syndrome—in fact, it was so severe that she slept in my room for almost a week. Mom then told me a story of how Dad would break down and cry everytime he walked past my bedroom door.

Awwwwwwwwww—those two big softies!

Well, now that I’m back home, my first order of business is to get ready for Howie and Jessica’s wedding, this afternoon at 3pm. Incidentally, I called Ray yesterday evening and asked if he wanted to be my escort. Without a hesitation, he said, “Just tell me what time I should meet you there.”

Wow! I’m going to an actual wedding with my high school crush! I really gotta get ready now, because… and I can’t believe that I’m about to say this, but I’ve gotta look right for my man (hahahaha)! At the same time, I gotta be careful not to look better than Jessica. After all, this is her day, and I am in full support of her.

With that said, I’ll holla at you all tomorrow… that’s right, y’all! I’m gonna have a special Sunday blog, just as soon as I come home from church. I promise that I will have full details of Howie & Jessica’s wedding, from the ceremony to the reception. Oh, and of course, seeing as how tomorrow is the first ever Sunday edition blog, I’ve got to talk about my “church homecoming.” I can’t wait to give Pastor & Mrs. Clark, a great big ol’ hug…

Wow, I’m really startin’ to talk just like Gramma Jewel—hahaha!

Take care everyone, and be good!

Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
