So, last night, I was watching an episode of Married… With Children, in which Al was helping his dum-dum daughter Kelly prepare for a quiz show. Just as Al was about to move to the next subject, Kelly raised her hand and said, “Daddy… I’m full.” Upon his daughter’s revelation, Al simply said, “Thank God.”
All things considered, I feel just like Kelly Bundy: I am full. I feel like I’ve studied ‘til I can’t study no mo’… there I go, talkin’ like Gramma Jewel again (ha-ha-ha)! But seriously, I need to take a break from it all—and this time, I’m not referring to my upcoming Christmas vacation and my triumphant yet much anticipated return to Los Angeles . This time, when I say that I need a break from it all, I mean that I need a break from studying. I need to take a walk around the track. I need to do something to keep my mind off of my final exams. I just need to go out and get some air.
And I will say this: I know that it was just a television show, but just as a safety precaution, I refuse to learn anything new before my finals. If you’ve ever seen that episode of Married… With Children, then you know what I’m talking about: Kelly messed around and learned something new, and when the time came for her to answer the $100,000 question, she blanked out and got the question wrong. Like I said, I know it was purely entertainment, but just to be on the safe side, I’m not taking any chances. Heaven forbid that I learn something new on the day of my finals, and there’s an extra credit question worth ten points that I completely miss.
Oh, no, Honey—that ain’t gonna happen to Natasha Renee Stewart!
Oh, no, Honey—that ain’t gonna happen to Natasha Renee Stewart!
I think the point that I’m trying to make overall is that I am ready to take my finals. Just like the Tennessee Titans must surpass their opposition in order to get to the touchdown, so must I ace my final exams in order to return to
See y’all later.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
