Hi, Everyone!
So, all day yesterday, I’ve been working on my research paper for my Grammar & Comp II class. I don’t remember how many pages I was to type, whether it was four or five; I managed to type up five pages, plus I created a reference page, a cover page, and a table of contents.
I’ve been brought up to go the extra mile, don’tcha know.
As I may have mentioned in yesterday’s blog, the topic of my research paper is all about the L.A. life. I’ve even come up with a cute title: “The Ultimate Southern California Tour Guide.” I talk about the sights—Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, Griffith Park Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, and of course, the beautiful Hollywood sign that sits atop Mt. Lee… okay, technically the sign doesn’t literally sit atop the mountain, but the point is that the sign is clearly visible. And check out my introduction:
“You can take the Cali girl out of Los Angeles, but you cannot take Los Angeles out of the Cali girl.”
And you know something else: I went above and beyond the extra mile and provided some visual aids for my paper; some photos I received from official websites, and others of my own personal photo collection. I guarantee you that my research paper is gonna get an A-plus—I just believe that it will be! However, I want to be sure that I check for any grammatical errors, misspellings, and any missing or unnecessary punctuations. I am aware that pride cometh before the destruction, and I am not about to be all haughty. Besides, I’ve come too far to start slipping into “me, I, and my.”
Well, y’all, I’ve got to make some finishing touches to this paper, and I’ll be done with it. Once I’m completely done with this project, I’ll be able to fully concentrate on my upcoming speech class assignment: “Natasha’s Three Favorite Vices.”
I know it’s a corny title, but what do you expect from a corny Cali girl? Hahaha!
See y’all tomorrow.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
