I trust that you all had as excellent a weekend as I did. Baby, lemme tell y’all: Forget the half—the quarter ain’t been told!
Yes, it was that good of a weekend.
Notwithstanding Becky finally earning her high school diploma on Friday, I had some hellified fun on Saturday when my sister cousins and I treated Becky to an afternoon of shopping at the Del Amo Mall in Torrance. Now, check this out: We stayed there at the mall until almost closing, and probably spent no more than a hundred dollars amongst each other. Personally, I’m very good with money, but I saw this gorgeous sundress and some matching open-toed sandals that I just had to get. Becky and my cousins actually supported my decision to go ahead and buy them. Matter of fact, Cousin Vanessa said: “Girl, it’s about time that you show off some of that sexiness!”

I’m sexy enough as it is, but I did go ahead and get the sundress—and it’s so gorgeous. It’s kinda like a tye-dye design with orange, yellow, and purple designs; the open-toed sandals are orange. And hell, I went ahead and bought another sundress that was rather patriotic—red, white, and blue all over the place—and I found some bad red shoes to go along with it. I might wear the latter sundress when we celebrate the Fourth of July over at Auntie Cherri’s house.
In other news, I’ve finally gotten around to working on my summer home movie. This morning after breakfast, I recorded my introduction where I was pretending that I didn’t see the camera. As I predicted, it was corny as all get-out, but it worked. The only problem was that I kept having to do this one little scene at least ten different times. There was one instance where the camera was too low, then another instance when the camera was too high. And then there was one instance where I forgot my own damn lines. I was supposed to say: “Oh, hey—I didn’t see you there! Well, anyway, my name is Natasha Renee Stewart…”
And I drew a damn blank right after all of that… and I was doing so well!
Well, the beauty of this project is that I’ve got practically all summer to get this done. The main focus of my video is the Fourth of July party at my Auntie Cherri’s house. And speaking of which, the girls and I went to Party City on Saturday, and we all pitched in and bought up damn near everything that was patriotic. Just to be safe, though, I went ahead and bought the orange, yellow, and purple paper goods. It’s up to Auntie Cherri and Uncle Alex if they want to use one or the other, but at least they won’t be without.
Having said that, y’all, it’s time for me to close this here blog and work some more on this here home video of mine. I’ll probably go out and do some walking, otherwise I’m gonna be in front of the camcorder and working on my project. Until tomorrow, y’all take care and be good.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
