Lookin' Forward to This Afternoon!

Hey, Y’all!

Well, it’s gonna go down this afternoon! That’s right, y’all—I’m going out with my sweetie pie today.

Ray called me this morning around 9am, and he says that in the time I was away at Rust, he was training and tightening up his bowling skills. I could be wrong, y’all, but it sounds to me like Ray is challenging me to another bowling match. And check this out: He’s even upped the ante and suggested two out of three falls. Now, I ain’t gonna lie to y’all: I’m very impressed with Ray’s boldness to challenge me again to a bowling contest, but I want to state for the record that Ray’s gonna have to earn a victory over me. I don’t care if I do like him—I’m not gonna throw the game.

Basically, I’m saying to Ray: Don’t sing it—just bring it!

Well, let’s see: I’ve been watching the Weather Channel all morning, and it’s supposed to be at least 80 degrees today. Other than the bowling alley, I don’t know where else Ray is taking me, but I’m excited just the same. Besides, Ray knows that I’m a simple girl (for lack of a better term… hahahaha)—he don’t need to go all out with me. Hell, if he was to take me to the mall, I’d be satisfied, and that’s the truth. But anyway, I’m trying to decide between my lime green dress or my tangerine dress. What about my favorite peach dress, you ask? Well, I wore it on Wednesday and accidentally spilled some ketchup on it… and after careful consideration, I think I’m gonna wear my tangerine dress on my date with Ray.

Oh, yeah—Ray also got jokes! When we talked this morning, he says to me: “I’m gonna come pick you up at three o’clock this afternoon, so be ready—cuz you’re gonna go down for sure this time!”

I’m gonna tell y’all right now: I don’t care if I win—I just don’t wanna lose. I’m just sayin’!

Okay, y’all—I really gotta get going, but I’ll holla at y’all again. I’ll give you the results on Monday… yes, Monday! Y’all are gonna have to wait an extra day on account of tomorrow is Sunday. It’s also Father’s Day!
