Hallelujah! It's Friday!

It’s not everyday that I say this, but… LAWD HA’MERCY!!!

Friday couldn’t get here no quicker, y’all—and I’m only saying this because, as I may have mentioned earlier this week, I’m used to being active. Rust College spoiled me so much in my freshman year that lately I’ve just become this “go-getter.” With the exception of my resting all day Monday, the Edith Bunker Tribute on Tuesday, my adventure to the mall on Wednesday, and yesterday afternoon’s backyard daydream fest, I have been bored out of my mind. But today is a new day, y’all! Right now, I’m chillin’ in the kitchen with a homemade bacon-and-egg sandwich with mayonnaise and sliced tomato. Before I started writing this blog, I got a call from my Cousin Calvin. He says that he’s coming out this way to hang out with his “favorite baby cousin.” Trust me when I tell y’all—I took full advantage of the opportunity because it means that I get to leave these four walls again. And you know that I’m all excited on account of Cousin Calvin wants to hang out with little ol’ me—I feel so special!

For the record, Cousin Calvin told me that he has been on a heavy job search since graduating from Cal State Long Beach two weeks ago. He hasn’t received any prospects as of yet, but he’s gonna take a bit of a break from his search just for today.

Also, I want to congratulate Miss Becky for being accepted to Chamberlain University in West Covina, as well as Goss University in Torrance. She hasn’t made her mind up yet on where she wants to go, but she knows that she wants to be an elementary school teacher and/or a guidance counselor. Tomorrow afternoon, Gramma Jewel and Becky are heading out to Chamberlain to get a tour of the campus… and guess who’s goin’ with ‘em! Hell, I’ll take any opportunity to get up outta the house—I GOTTA BE FREE, DAMMIT!!!

Whoa—where’d that come from? I need to reel that back in… but it felt good, though!

Well, I’m gonna cut this blog short today, seeing as how I gotta get ready to kick it with my cuzzo all day today. I guess I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow. Take care.
