A Surprise Call from Neo Theo, Tho!

Happy Wednesday, Y’all!

It was bound to happen sooner or later, but definitely before I left for Rust—I finally heard from my man Neo Theo!

He called me sometime around 2pm PST this afternoon, and we talked for about an hour or so. He first apologized for calling me so late in our summer vacation, and explained that he was caught up in the moment of being back in his hometown of Houston, Texas (I think I mentioned that Theo’s a Lone Star native). I told Theo that he didn’t need to apologize to me on account of I fully understood where he was coming from.

As we were talking, Theo mentioned that he had a surprise for me and Ruby, and that he knows I will like mine because it’s purple… Awwwwwwww, what a sweetheart—Theo remembered that we love purple! Anyway, he also said that our classmate Olivia had called him a couple of times, just to see how he was doing. Theo then went on to say that he thought he really liked Olivia, but in their last phone conversation, he noticed a “change in the air.” When I asked him what he thought it was, he just said, “I really can’t tell you, Tasha, because I don’t even know. I mean, Olivia is a nice girl and all, but I think the fire is startin’ to fizzle, if you know what I mean.”

I think I do know what Theo means: It sounds to me like he’s falling out of love with Olivia. For his sake, I hope I’m wrong, because I think that they both look cute together. I explained to Theo that he should just play it by ear and not rush into anything; if it’s meant for him and Olivia to be together, then it will happen on God’s Time, not theirs.

Wow! I think I had a serious Gramma Jewel moment when I told him that!

Overall, it was a good convo with my fellow Rustite, and I’m glad to know that he’s doing great and having a fantastic summer. And to think, we’ve got twelve days left until I holla at Southern Cali and make my big return to Rust College—and it still amazes me that I am actually counting down the days until my sophomore year; nevertheless, it is what it is and it do what it do, Babies!

Well, I shall holla at y’all later. I’ll definitely hit y’all up before I head over to Gramma Jewel’s tomorrow evening—I just hope I have a good topic for tomorrow’s blog. Until then, though, y’all take care and have a good one!

Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
