Well, I’m back home, y’all—but I gotta say that I had so much fun with Gramma Jewel and my girls over these last couple of days. I wish we had had an extra day, but it’s all good because I really had a blast… and if y’all will allow me to say so, I truly believe that Gramma Jewel had more fun than we did!
By the way: We had a bit of a dance contest this afternoon, and try as we might, we still could not convince Gramma Jewel to do the Wobble. She just simply refuses to learn the dance on account of (and these are her words) there are just too many damn instructions, and that’s a dance for women much younger than her. She did however, join in and do the Cupid Shuffle with us.
Well, now that I’m back home, I’m sitting here in my room thinking about the next couple of days… and believe it or not, y’all, I don’t have any television or radio on. That’s right—I’m listening to the peaceful quiet around the house. My mom and dad are sound asleep, and I actually just finished up another session of editing my summer home movie… very quietly, I might add. I’m also looking at my calendar, and it shows that I have about a week and some hours left until I head back to Bearcat Country. I called Auntie Gladys earlier this morning and reminded her that I will be arriving in Memphis on Monday morning, August 19, 2013 at 7:30am CST. And yes, the excitement that I have about my Holly Springs return is as strong as ever… then again, Auntie Gladys is all excited about picking me up from the airport, and that’s probably because she wants to step foot back onto the grounds of her alma mater.
Well, I really hate to cut this blog post short, but I’m getting really sleepy, and I don’t want to ramble on and on about nothing. With that said, I shall holla at y’all tomorrow; by then, I will be well rested and fully refreshed. Until then, y’all take it easy, and God Bless.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
