Hi, Everyone!
Well, those little kiddies did it again—they did a great job in reviewing their lesson on obedience. As per the plan, I taught them the lesson of the three Hebrew boys who were thrown in the fiery furnace.
Let me say first of all: I love my Cradle Roll students; they are just too cute for words. When they gave the review, they started off by saying: “Miss Natasha taught us the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and a billy goat!”
Bless their little hearts—I know how tough it is to pronounce Abednego; I was five years old once upon a time.
Anyway, as the little kiddies went on to give a brief review of what they learned, my star pupil Beverly was the main one who remembered the point that I drove home. She said: “Miss Natasha taught us that no matter what happens, we should obey The Word of The Lord. She taught us that there will be some fire furnaces in our lives, but still, we should obey what God says, and He will jump into the fire with us because He loves us so much!”
I’m tellin’ y’all—Little Miss Beverly’s gonna be teaching the Cradle Roll class one day soon!
Well, y’all, I’ve got one more lesson to give on obedience, and that will be the end of our Vacation Bible School. I’m debating on whether or not I should teach the Cradle Roll about how Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. There are several reasons as to why I don’t want to teach it, and mainly it’s because of what I know personally. I know that we should teach our children that Christ did in fact die for our sins, but my main struggle is actually how to teach this very important lesson. I’ve thought about teaching them the story of Daniel and the lion’s den, but then too, I like the story of the prophet Elijah and the widow woman—that lesson talks about obedience as well.
I’ll figure it out soon enough—I’ll just pray about it and leave it all in God’s Hands. In the meantime, I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow. Take care.
Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
