Loomin' On The Horizon, Y'all!

What’s The Dilly-O, Peeps!

I thought I’d try out a different introduction, just to see what it sounds like… hahaha! I thought it sounded pretty good, so we’ll roll with it.

Well, not that I’m counting or anything, but I’ve got 13 days until I go back to Bearcat County. I’m excited and I’m also a bit heartbroken. Now, this is gonna sound like déjà vu, but it’s worth repeating: While I’m a little sad that I’ll be leaving Southern Cali, I’m not as disappointed as I was around this time a year ago. As a matter of fact, I remember quite vividly that I suffered my very first (and hopefully last) anxiety attack. Believe me when I tell y’all—it was not fun at all. Looking back on it, I know what triggered everything: First and foremost, I was a mere stranger in a foreign land, and my new surroundings would cause me to deviate from the norm. I tried to put on my bravest face possible, but my emotions were telling on me. Well, I pray that I don’t ever get another one of those, yet at the same time, I pray that I am able to recognize when I get one, and once I recognize it, I can take Gramma Jewel’s advice and “start the prayin’, Baby!”

I know I still have about two weeks until my summer vacation in L.A. has ended, but I can clearly say in great faith that Summer 2013 was good to me—it was all that and then some. And it’s gonna be extra special this weekend when I head over to Gramma Jewel’s for our Summertime Slumber Party. I’ve been in talks with Cousin Candace and Cousin Trisha practically all day today, and we are like, so totally excited. Also, from what Gramma Jewel has told us, she’s got a commitment to fulfill this Saturday; she’s been invited to a baby shower for a waitress at the IHOP that she and Mother Davis go to regularly. My guess is that Gramma Jewel and Mother Davis are gonna both go, and they may ask us to tag along. Here’s how I look at it: It’s a place where there’s free food, fun games, and a bunch of ladies discussing what they like about their husbands—I’m in! I know, I know—Ray is not my husband, but I’m saying that it’s a wonderful opportunity for me, Becky, Trisha, Nessa, and Candi to learn some extra lessons through other women. Personally, I’m all for it.

Well, this blog is gonna be cut short today, but I promise I will have some more for you on tomorrow. Besides, with my sophomore year at Rust College looming on the horizon, I’m gonna make sure that I milk these remaining two weeks as much as possible.

Until then, y’all have a good rest-of-the-afternoon.

Hugs & Kisses,
Natasha
